Smile is supporting the Greater Lyon Metropolitan Area in its API strategy to digitize administrative exchanges and access to services under public service delegation.
Having implemented and maintained the first version of the platform since 2019, Smile has been evolving it into this API manager since 2023. As a result, more than 200 clients benefit from simplified access to around one hundred exposed APIs, hosted in a sovereign multi-cloud environment. The Gravitee Access Management solution has been integrated to control access and federate identities across the city's multiple systems.
This project illustrates the tool's ability to handle complex public sector workloads, while ensuring data sovereignty and compliance with security protocols.

Somfy, a world leader in motorization, home opening automation and alarm systems, has trusted Smile for several years to support its digital transformation, notably through the establishment of a dedicated e-commerce and data service center.
Within this framework, Smile deployed, maintains, and co-manages the governance of Somfy's API management platform, which is based on the solution. Since early 2023, Somfy has been progressively publishing all of its business services as APIs via this platform, leveraging Gravitee's cloud services and API gateway to ensure reliability and scalability.
